Pablo Lubadika Porthos played in many bands during the 1970's and later during the 1980's released several solo albums, he was also a very in demand session musician and then just vanished. I have always been surprised that he didn't join Les Quatre Etoiles or even later Kekele. On the first two lp's he was a bandmember, the Orchestre Kara LP was released in 1979 but perhaps recorded earlier, the African All Stars LP was recorded in 1979 but released in 1983. His first two solo lp's, recorded for Richard Dick, are among the best Congolese albums ever recorded in my opinion.

1979

One more. Good music, but Tutu is a weak vocalist.

Kenyatta I have never seen this album, thanks for the addition.

Any idea when this was recorded?

1986. The music reminds me of Kanda bongo Man's "Iyole" period.
